APS Day at Hinkle Family Fun Center Supports Academic Programs

The event is called APS Day at Hinkle Family Fun Center. Hinkle is offering unlimited play on all of its attractions (paintball and game room credits are extra) on Friday, March 29, for just $20.95 per person, with a percentage of all sales during the promotion going to the Foundation.

“You can’t imagine how grateful we are to Hinkle Family Fun Center for its commitment to APS students,” said Foundation Executive Director Phill Casaus. “APS Day is on Friday, March 29, which is a spring holiday for APS families. This will give them a chance to have a day full of play for nearly $40 less than they’d ordinarily pay. It’s an incredible deal.”

The Foundation supports a variety of APS academic efforts focusing on four key areas: Fine Arts, Science/Technology/Engineering/Math (STEM), Middle/High School Activities and Literacy. Hinkle, which has long supported APS as part of the Join-A-School program, also is a sponsor of Selfless Seniors and will sponsor Superintendent Winston Brooks’ Student Advisory Council.

Part of the money the Foundation receives from APS Day will go toward supporting APS middle and high school student council programs, which help develop leadership skills. Gene Hinkle, a longtime Albuquerque businessman and the owner of Hinkle Family Fun Center, has long been a proponent of leadership programs in public education.

Hinkle Family Fun Center, located on the northwest corner of Indian School and Tramway, offers two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, a go-kart track, lazer tag, arcade games, paintball and many other features that make it a premier destination for kids and families.

Hinkle Celebrates Valentine’s Day with APS Students

The family fun center also gets ready to host APS Day on March 29 with proceeds going to the APS Education Foundation

Hinkle Family Fun Center,This is an external link. a supporter of the APS Education Foundation, sent valentines to 30,000 Albuquerque Public Schools students, inviting them to visit the landmark family entertainment center and get a free ride on a go-kart or bumper boat or play a free round of miniature golf.

Hinkle also is hosting another APS Day on Friday, March 29,  with a portion of the proceeds going to the Foundation to support students and schools.

“Hinkle Family Fun Center is a great partner to the Foundation. Our students and families had a good time at the last APS Hinkle Family Fun Day, and there’s lots of fun to be had on March 29th as well,” said Foundation Executive Director Phill Casaus.

FAMILY FUN LANDMARK SHARES VALENTINE’S DAY FUN WITH ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

 HinkleFamilyFunCenter, Albuquerque’s landmark family fun destination since 1994, celebrates Valentine’s Day 2013 by sharing the fun with APS teachers and students.

HinkleFamilyFunCenter has supported Albuquerque Public Schools for years and currently is working closely with the Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation. In support of the Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation, HinkleFamilyFunCenter is a proud sponsor of their Selfless Seniors Program.

HinkleFamilyFunCenter will also be hosting a fundraiser for the Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation titled APS Day this March 29, 2013 with a percentage of proceeds benefitting the Foundation.

Hinkle delivered close to 30,000 valentines to schools throughout the Albuquerque area. The Valentine cards allow each student and a friend to visit HinkleFamilyFunCenter for a free ride on attractions like the go carts, bumper boats or miniature golf.

HINKLE FAMILY FUN CENTER RAISES NEW AMERICAN FLAG AND FUNDS FOR VETERANS ORGANIZATION PAWS AND STRIPES

Hinkle Family Fun Center is honored to have the United States Volunteers, a national non profit organization representing our Veterans, raise Hinkle’s new civilian 20′ x 38′ American Flag on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:00 am at Hinkle Family Fun Center. Hinkle Family Fun Center’s American Flag is the largest flag flown in Albuquerque.

The United States Volunteers will present a Color Guard, and raise the American Flag to the accompaniment of the Star Spangled Banner courtesy of Univision Radio Group, Coyote 102.5.

Hinkle Family Fun Center’s American Flag was cut down, spray painted and left thrown on the property behind the High Ridge Movie Theater on May 15, 2011. A reward of $600 will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible.

Hinkle Family Fun Center experienced an incredible influx of public support, opinion, and offers of donations following the May 15 vandalism and has requested that any and all donations be made payable to Paws and Stripes, a local non profit organization. Paws and Stripes is an organization dedicated to providing service dogs for wounded veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury. Â Paws and Stripes will be present at the ceremony on May 25th.

We are grateful to be a part of such a patriotic, caring community in Albuquerque! FAMILY FUN CENTER’S AMERICAN FLAG VANDALIZED

On Sunday, May 15, between midnight and 8am the American Flag at Hinkle Family Fun Center, a city landmark, was cut down, desecrated, and vandalized. The American Flag, which acts as the centerpiece for Hinkle Family Fun Center’s Entertainment Facility, was removed from the flag pole by individuals cutting both of the ropes.

The American Flag was spray painted in what appears to be green and white spray paint and was found thrown on the property behind the High Ridge Movie Theater.

“The American Flag flown at Hinkle Family Fun Center has become a symbol of the pride that we as a company take in being a part of this great country,” said Bryan Hinkle, owner of Hinkle Family Fun Center.

Hinkle Family Fun Center has contacted APD, and is currently asking for any and all help regarding leads to the individual(s) involved. Hinkle Family Fun Center will prosecute any and all individuals to the full extent of the law. A reward of up to $500 will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible.

Hinkle Family Fun Center has experienced an incredible influx of public support, opinion, and offers of donations following the May 15 vandalism and desecration of the American Flag centered in Hinkle Family Fun Center entertainment park. All service dogs are obtained from shelters and are trained by professional trainers. Paws and Stripes provides service dogs and training at no cost to the veteran.

“It is our hope that any and all donations made will be a way for the community to give back to the very folks who served our country, our local Veterans. Our goal is to turn a heinous crime into an expression of Patriotism for the entire Albuquerque Community,” said Bryan Hinkle, an owner of Hinkle Family Fun Center.
